How the life statistics are calculated
Date totals come from the birth date and as-of date. Live body counters multiply elapsed seconds or waking seconds by the rates entered above. Earth and Moon comparisons use published average cycles, while world-change estimates interpolate maintained annual public datasets.
Exact age facts and estimated body counters
Days, hours, minutes, and seconds alive come directly from the entered dates. Heartbeats, breaths, blinks, sleep, blood pumped, and red blood cells are different: they are rate-based illustrations, not measurements recovered from a medical record or wearable device.
The default 70 beats per minute is within the American Heart Association's broad 60-to-100 adult resting range, but a lifetime average includes sleep, movement, illness, childhood, and exercise. The breathing and red-cell assumptions are likewise adjustable or clearly labeled so a large number never looks more precise than its inputs.
How the live life statistics update
When the as-of date is today, the page measures elapsed time to the current browser clock and advances time-dependent counters once per second. A historical as-of date is treated as a date-level snapshot because no time of day was entered.
Blink estimates use waking time rather than every minute lived. Sleep is shown as a duration based on the daily-hours input. These choices avoid silently counting blinks during sleep or presenting the sleep total as an observed health record.
Earth, Moon, population, and CO2 context
The Earth and Moon results use published average cycle lengths and speeds. They are useful scale comparisons, not a reconstruction of your exact position in space. Full moons use the average synodic month, while Moon orbits use the shorter sidereal period, so those totals are intentionally different.
People-born-after-you and emissions-since-birth figures use public global datasets and interpolation between available years. They answer a personal timeline question, while generic rows such as internet use or income group are deliberately excluded because they do not describe your life.
Privacy and responsible sharing
The core calculation runs in the browser and does not require an account. A full birth date is personal information, so the result should expose only the detail needed for the purpose.
All body totals are estimates. They should not be used to assess heart rhythm, breathing, blood health, sleep quality, fitness, disease risk, or longevity. A clinician or validated device is needed for individual health measurement.
